Kristin (Lilly) Tortoriello ’99 and her husband, Dr. Paul Tortoriello, welcomed their baby girl, Liliana Marie, born on November 27, 2012. Big brothers Anthony and Christian are excited to have a little sister.
Carol (Yushkevich) Amato ’75 is currently in a marketing career and was promoted to Creative Marketing and Design Manager. Carol also went back to school to fulfill her longtime passion in the culinary arts and enjoys pastry making as well as cooking for a healthy lifestyle.
Joseph ’00 and Jolene (Karwowski) ’00 Cieniawski welcomed Michael, a healthy baby boy, on December 31, 2011. Earlier in the year, Jolene graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law in May, 2011 and then was admitted to the Illinois Bar.
Annemarie (Goonan) Huyer ’88 is the Finance Manager at Treasury Wine Estates based in Napa Valley, CA. She oversees the Florida, South Carolina, Illinois, Kentucky, Minnesota, and Latin America markets.
Kevin P. Dolan ’00 and his wife Annie are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Daniel Kevin who was 8 pounds, 12 ounces and 22 inches long! Danny was born on November 7, 2012, the same day as his Grandpa’s birthday, Pat Dolan ’72. Kevin recently joined McDonald’s Corporation as a Finance Manager. The family resides in Chicago.
Jennifer (Zajac) Svevo ’88, husband Gregory Svevo and big sister Tiffani A. Carlsen, welcomed their new addition Zack Gregory Svevo to the family on November 20, 2012. Michaelene (Brown) Buzas ’94 married Tim Buzas on May 5, 2012. Toni Chiappini Ruswick ’96 and her husband Aaron are happy to announce the birth of their daughter, Caroline Gabriella. She was born May 6, 2012, and weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce. She joins her big brothers Jack, five, and Benjamin, four, and big sister Elizabeth, two.
Samantha (Schreiber) Staley ’01 and her husband Ryan welcomed daughter, Danielle Rae on February 4, 2011. She joined proud big brothers Andrew and Colin. Tim Huizenga ’03, earned a place on the United States Marine Band, “The President’s Own,” this February. Tim competed with over 90 horn players from all over the country to earn a spot on the historic band.
Gia (Fonte) Colunga ’97 has been elected to partnership at Freeborn & Peters LLP, where she focuses her practice on complex commercial disputes and employment litigation. She lives in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago with her husband, Isaac, and daughter Maria, who is one and a half years old.
Celia Mimms ’03 received a Doctor of Dental Surgery DDS in June, 2012 from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.
Leslie Spires ’97 and his wife, Victoria, welcomed their baby boy, Leslie J., born on October, 17, 2012.
Rebecca (Gustafson) Bomgaars ’05 graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree on December 15, 2012, from Southern California University of Health Sciences in Whittier, CA, and was married on February 10, 2013, to Justin Bomgaars. They live in Lakewood, CA. She will work in a sports chiropractic practice in the Los Angeles area.
Jessica (Gehm) Callard ’99 and her husband Michael were married on July 3, 2011, and are pleased to announce the birth of their son Michael Gary (MJ) who was born on June 13, 2012. MJ was 8 pounds, 3 ounces and 21 inches long.
