Marcie Phalen

Marcie Phalen is a Registered Nurse (RN) in Columbus, Ohio. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and is currently working toward her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Board Certification (PMHNP-BC). Her work in mental health care is fueled by a passion for helping individuals navigate complex challenges while also seeking to expand access to psychiatric services within the community. She remains focused on removing the stigma often associated with mental illness and promoting a more inclusive approach to care. Raised in Bexley, a suburb near Columbus, Marcie grew up surrounded by an environment rooted in psychological care. Her parents, both highly experienced Ph.D. psychologists, offered her a powerful example of what it means to care with integrity and professionalism. Their dedication to treating people with respect and compassion made a lasting impression on Marcie, shaping how she approached her nursing career. Her early exposure to mental health advocacy inspired her to follow a similar path of service and support. Marcie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Aspen University in Phoenix, Arizona. As a student, she committed herself to volunteering at local mental health clinics, gaining valuable insights into patient care. After completing her degree in 2022, she began her career in psychiatric nursing. She earned her certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), signaling her ongoing pursuit of clinical excellence and professional growth. Marcie also participates in mental health education and outreach initiatives, working to raise awareness and encourage early intervention. Her personal life includes practicing yoga, reading, and connecting with family and friends.
