American Liver Foundation Hosts Annual National Legacy Gala
The American Liver Foundation (ALF) hosted its annual National Legacy Gala. The Gala recognized individuals and organizations who have made outstanding contributions to the ALF and the liver community.

2022 Award Recipients:
Leadership Award: Allan W. Wolkoff, MD, professor of Medicine and Developmental and Molecular Biology, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Herman Lopata Chair in Liver Disease Research and Director of the Marion Bessin Liver Research Center.
Legacy Award: Donald M. Jensen M.D., F.A.C.P., F.A.A.S.L.D., Richard B. Capps emeritus professor of Medicine, Rush University Medical Center.
Lifetime Achievement Award: Susan and Michael Kerr, passionate liver advocates and business leaders
ALF’s National Legacy Gala raised nearly $900,000 and hosted 300 patient families, medical professionals, organizational partners and business visionaries in the healthcare, pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Event supporters include National Legacy Gala Chairs and Liver Patient Family: Bakari Sellers, CNN political analyst and Ellen Rucker Sellers, co-owner, Rucker Roots.
ALF is committed to facilitating, advocating and promoting education, support services and research for the prevention, treatment and cure of liver disease. Through events such as the Gala, ALF can provide valuable resources for patients and their families.
