NZM has established strong long-term relationships with their wool industry partners in the supply chain to provide integrity to the ZQ and ZQRX programmes.
Brand and supply chain partners must share their core values and include an ethical approach to doing business, transparency, and a commitment to sustainability of the wool industry and social, environmental and economic sustainability in general.
Wools Of New Zealand is proud to support the Malvern A&P Show as part of the Wool Extravaganza, displaying samples of carpet ranges made from New Zealand wool.
Wools of New Zealand and the Primary Wool Cooperative joined together eighteen months ago to form a partnership that gave New Zealand farmers the opportunity to supply wool into the New Zealand carpet industry.
Roger Fuller , South Island Auction Manager, with over forty years in the wool industry sees the formation of this grower owned company a major step in trying to provide better returns to growers, who are currently seeing some of the poorest returns for wool in recent times.

Yaldhurst Wools Ltd is a private wool merchant and exporter of quality wool. Yaldhurst Wools was founded in 1988 by John and Marylyn Betts. John came into the business with twenty four years experience with Walter Hills and Sons Ltd, Christchurch, and John Marshall and Co Ltd, Christchurch.

Their Wool is sourced from farms throughout the South Island of New Zealand. Yaldhurst Wools staff have a combined experience of two hundred years in the wool trade.
In 2009, they started Exquisite Blankets, their top quality New Zealand wool bedding blankets and throws.
Our proud Exquisite wool blanket history starts here in New Zealand and extends to a woollen mill in England, that dates back to 1783. In 1893 this mill started buying NZ wool. This is proudly displayed in a logbook at the Yorkshire mill. Our family wool buying business, Yaldhurst Wools, Christchurch, buys wool from the same farm featured in that logbook, along with other wool sourced from South Island farms. Some of this wool is exported to the mill in England.

MESSAGE OF SUPPORT - LYDIA GLIDDON
Agriculture is the heart and centre of Malvern. I think the rural outlook makes Malvern such a special place to live, and what better place to enjoy catching up with people than at the Malvern A&P Show.
We can be so proud of the highquality produce and stock that is grown by our district, and now more than ever, we need to support our agricultural industry.
The Malvern A&P Show is not just for the farmers, it is a great way for people and children to see what country life is about. Well done to the Show committee for all the hard work and preparation leading up to the event. Too often, we take for granted the amazing area we live in, get involved and enjoy a day out in the country. I look forward to seeing you all there. Councillor, Lydia Gliddon.

Across Selwyn, there’s always something amazing to do which allows us to connect with the heart of our communities. That rings true in March as we approach dates for two fantastic shows. We start in Sheffield on March 25th with the Malvern A&P Show, now in its 124th year. The Show is a real treat for the whole family and the perfect opportunity to showcase Selwyn’s communities’ prized animals, homegrown produce, craft and so much more. Throughout the day ringside events, children’s activities and competitions join with trade stands and catering providers to ensure there is something for everybody to enjoy.
I wish Michelle and the committee all the best for the day.
Hot on the heels of the Malvern A&P Show is New Zealand’s longest running Field Days, the South Island Agricultural Field Days, held between March 29th-31st, in Kirwee.
Nicola Grigg
It’s Autumn show season and I’m really looking forward to attending the Malvern A&P Show and South Island Agricultural Field Days this month!

I will have a National Party stall at both events and would love to see as many of you as I can, so feel free to come over for a chat. I will be hosting a number of my National Party colleagues at Field Days, including Agriculture Spokesperson Todd Muller and National Leader Christopher Luxon , on Thursday 30th March. Please do come along to share your views and ideas with us - or just say hi!

Nicola Grigg, MP for Selwyn.
