C’est à l’adolescence que Roxanne Flick choisit de se consacrer à l’art et tout particulièrement au design d’objets. Elle s’intéresse à la relation que nous entretenons avec les objets au-delà de leur aspect utilitaire, aux émotions, souvenirs que nous partageons avec eux. C’est ainsi qu’elle crée des meubles et accessoires pour la maison qui dépassent leur fonction première pour raconter leur propre histoire. Purpur – Considering the Cycle of Nature and Design est une série d’objets réalisée suite à l’analyse et l’observation de la nature, sa construction et sa beauté. As a teenager, Roxanne Flick decided to dedicate herself to art, and particularly to product design. She’s interested in the relationship we have with objects beyond their function, and the emotions and memories we share with them. With this in mind, she creates furniture and accessories for the home which go beyond their original function, telling their own story. Take Purpur – Considering the Cycle of Nature and Design. It’s a series of objects born from the analysis and observation of nature, how it’s structured and its beauty.

LYNN COSYN D’abord architecte, Lynn Cosyn a cherché d’autres moyens d’expression. Elle entreprend un blog de décoration dont les illustrations plaisent. Une commande par le magazine Wonder filled et un buzz plus tard – sa carte de Luxembourg séduit –, la voilà mandatée par l’Union commerciale de la Ville de Luxembourg pour dessiner ses affiches, ainsi que par Neimënster ou les Éditions Saint-Paul... Son style naïf et simplifié laisse cependant paraître une vraie acuité pour l’architecture et les bâtiments emblématiques. Elle apporte poésie et humour dans ses illustrations aux personnages bondissants et aux yeux toujours fermés.

Trained architect Lynn Cosyn started looking for other ways of self-expression, and soon set up a design blog featuring her charming illustrations. Wonderfilled magazine ordered a print and after a bit of buzz later (her map of Luxembourg has melted hearts) – there you have it: the Union Commerciale de la Ville de Luxembourg commissioned her to illustrate their posters, as well as being hired by Neimënster and the Éditions Saint-Paul publishing house. Her cute and simple style also shows her sharp eye for architecture and emblematic buildings. Her illustrations shine with poetry and humour, filled with leaping characters whose eyes are always closed.
