Each project undertaken by Project Group has its own dedicated project manager to guide and support clients through the entire process, from concept to completion, and to keep them informed about their project’s progress. “It is our job to take the burden out of a fit-out project, allowing clients to focus on running their business. We do everything from working with designers and architects, applying for council consents if required, estimating budgets and drawing up the scope of work, through to running any tender processes, drafting a programme of work, managing sub-contractors and work-site health and safety, and ensuring that a project is completed on time and to the approved budget.” CT

With five depots located from Central Otago north to Fairlie, the company offers a wide range of services, including civil construction, landscaping, road construction and maintenance, water and drainage, asphalt and chipsealing, cable and pipe location. Business development manager, Linton Clarke says a key strength of the company is that it offers a complete range of work. “People like us because we can control the work from stage one right through to the end. “We can do the services installation, site works, the road construction and the surfacing. Other companies sometimes subcontract those components out. They have to get those ducks all lined up so there’s a sequence to it. It can prove be disjointed and frustrating, and end up taking longer and costing the client more.” However, Whitestone Contracting can control all aspects of the work internally, saving clients time and money. “We pride ourselves on doing the job right, quality work, delivering on time and not taking on too much and over committing.”

Linton says the company has been involved in The Cairns and Lochinver subdivisions for the past few years, and is now beginning work on the new Riverside residential development for Lake Tekapo Enterprises. “Riverside is a new subdivision and we’ve just started the earthworks component of that,” he says. “The Cairns and Lochinver are essentially completed. They’ve been stage developments and we’ve done all the civil works, including the earthworks, services such as power, drainage, stormwater and wastewater."
