Its focus is on building architectural homes on the hills and completes projects throughout Christchurch and Banks Peninsula. It also does renovations and has finished more than 150 earthquake repairs. “It’s a really good feeling at the end of the repair job and the clients are happy,” Dayle says.
“We can do everything from the foundations right through to the painting, plastering and finishing, keeping most of it in house, which means we have more control of the quality,” he says.
“We’re born and bred in Canterbury; we’re not a fly-by-nighter who came in for the repairs and is then going to leave. We were here long before the earthquakes and we’ll be here long after the earthquakes.”
“We also have a good team of reliable subcontractors. It means we can do it quicker; you’re not waiting for the painter or plasterer to show up. That helps keep costs down.”
