Fuels offers a same day delivery service for oil, coal and gas, while the Cash & Carry and showroom is open from 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and from8.30am to 5pm on Saturdays. The McLean Fuels fleet has been a familiar sight on the roads of south Derry and surrounding areas for many years and one of the trucks even made the front page of the Belfast Telegraph during the cold snap of 2010. The fleet comprises six DAF oil tankers, two coal delivery vehicles (a Mitsubishi and a Ford Transit) and a VW Transporter gas fitting van.
The trucks make deliveries within a 20mile radius of Magherafelt, going as far as Cookstown in Co. Tyrone and Antrim Town. The dramatic fall in oil prices means that home heating oil is more affordable than ever. You can now buy 900 litres of kerosene for around £370, compared to £600 at its peak a few years ago.
