This woman drives herself, and every accomplishment, every daring feat of professional or personal prowess leads only to the next. She is a relentless champion of excellence, surgical and otherwise, but joyfully so. She smiles often, and when she does, her whole being seems to light up. “I love to push myself,” she says. “Microsurgery is what I love to do; I feel at home and at peace under the microscope. I have an eye, and my hands are good.” She’s confident but not arrogant. When asked why someone should choose her over another surgeon, she simply replies “Because I’m really good.”
