Welcome to the 2024 Women’s Amateur Four-Ball and the excitement of a USGA championship!

At the United States Golf Association, our purpose is as clear as the letters that define us:

Unify the golf community

Showcase the best at every level

Govern the rules of the game

Advance sustainability and inclusivity of golf

When it comes to showcasing, the USGA was created 130 years ago to conduct premier championships at every level and provide inspiration to golfers and golf fans alike, and that commitment is as important to us now as it was then. This year, we ’ re thrilled to celebrate the playing of our 1000th championship at the U.S. Open. It is fitting that this monumental milestone will be conducted at Pinehurst, one of the crowned jewels in American golf, continuing the legacy of USGA championships being played on the world’s best golf courses and providing the stage for the game's best players to achieve their dreams

The USGA has a longstanding and important tradition of bringing national championships to communities throughout the United States It's remarkable to know that the USGA saw an overall record of entries in 2023, including nine of 15 championships that set new marks, totaling more than 40,000 dreamers from around the world vying to play on these global stages We are incredibly thankful to all those who support our championships and the players who compete in them

We offer our sincere thanks for the tireless efforts of the staff, leadership and membership here at Oak Hills Country Club to help bring this championship to life

We'd like to thank our corporate partners – Ally, American Express, Cisco, Deloitte, Lexus, Rolex and Sentry – for stepping up and aligning their goals and brands with us Thank you to the hundreds of thousands of USGA members and donors for their belief and support, and to our thousands of volunteers, without whom there would be no championships

Most importantly, I want to recognize the players who have worked hard to earn the opportunity to compete in a USGA championship. Thank you for your love and support of the game, and congratulations on earning your place in this week’s field We know that many special memories will be made here and look forward to what promises to be a memorable championship

Looking forward,

HOLE #1 PAR4-349YARDS

The tree-lined par 4 starting hole plays as dogleg left This is one of the shorter par 4 holes on the course, but position is key. A tee shot that finds the right side of the fairway at the bend will set up a short iron to this well bunkered green

HOLE #3

HOLE #2

PAR3-171YARDS

This par 3 hole may play slightly downhill but oftentimes a south wind may keep the true yardage in play. The tee shot is all carry to the green Putting is fast from right to left and from back to front.

PAR4-417YARDS

This long par 4 hole plays as a slight dogleg right. The elevated tee will help this hole to play shorter than the yardage. The green can be deceiving fast from front to back.

2024 U.S. AMATEUR FOUR-BALL

HOLE #4

HOLE #5

PAR5-571YARDS

A fun downhill par 5 dogleg right requires proper positioning for the best chances to score under par Avoiding the right side will serve you well. A drive to the center left and a second shot to the left side of the fairway at the bend will leave a short aprOach to the green

PAR4-367YARDS

The prospect of an open approach shot from the left side of the fairway will entice one to aim the tee shot to the left side of the fairway which is a good idea except that the left fairway bunker may come into play. Position your tee shot either just shy of this fairway bunker or play ever so slightly to the right of it to have an open shot to the elevated well bunkered and tree guarded green.

HOLE #6

PAR4-345YARDS

The signature 6th hole requires an accurate drive that should stay shy of "Conner's Creek". A tee shot that finds the right side of the fairway is ideal on this tree-lined hole for an approach that will be able to avoid the large oak tree near the green. However a high accurate wedge can remedy the left side approach

2024 U.S. AMATEUR FOUR-BALL

HOLE #7

PAR4-401YARD

A long dogleg right par 4 uphill hole will require fairway woods and possible a wedge and stamina. A drive to the left side will open up the hole. Once on the green, putting is slow from front to back.

HOLE #8

PAR4-296YARDS

A gentle dogleg left short par 4 hole will entice the player to go for the green A conservative play is either shy of the left side cluster of fairway bunkers or just to the right but not too far right or you will be face with going under trees, and over a bunker or playing back to the fairway. A good chance for a birdie.

HOLE #10

HOLE #9

PAR3-143YARDS

The front nine ends on this par three hole that just requires an accurate yardage to the green. If the pin is back left, the green will feed right to left This hole is all carry to the front right pin locations.

PAR5-478YARDS

The tree lined driving shoot will define the tee shot on this dogleg right par 5 hole. Keep the second shot on the center left to have an open approach The green is firm running front to back.

2024 U.S. AMATEUR FOUR-BALL

HOLE #11

The par 4 eleventh hole bends gently to the left, the fairway slopes a bit right to left on the landing area of the tee shot. The approach is all carry to this green that slopes from front to back and left to right

PAR4-425YARDS

HOLE #12

PAR4-412YARDS

The best approach to the green is from the left side of the fairway. The pond to the left of the landing ground on the tee shot will need to be avoided.

HOLE #14

HOLE #13

PAR3-162YARDS

This demanding par three will require a fairway wood or long iron off of the tee. A tee shot played to the right side of the green will feed to a left pin location

PAR4-322YARDS

This par 4 fourteenth hole marks the beginning of "The Alley", and the scoreable journey to the clubhouse The approach to this short par four is best from the middle of the fairway. Make sure the tee shot is played left of the right side fairway bunker, but not too far left for the most open shot to the green.

2024 U.S. AMATEUR FOUR-BALL

HOLE #16

PAR4-370YARDS

HOLE #15

PAR5-509YARDS

The par 5 fifteenth has a gentle dogleg to the right, but a a large tree 85 yards from the green in the center of the fairway defines how the hole should be played. A drive to the center of the fairway and a second shot to the right of the tree is one way to go about this hole. A high trajectory shot over the tree will do the trick also on the approach.

A sharp dogleg right will ask for a tee shot played left of the right fairway bunker but not so far as it goes through the fairway. The green can be narrow so an accurate approach is nice and avoiding the grassy bunker on the left is key.

HOLE #17

PAR4-350YARDS

Play the tee shot to the right side of the fairway to have an open approach to this well bunkered green
