Acne. Most of our clients either have suffered from this stubborn condition in the past, or are currently dealing with it today. They often feel frustrated and defeated because they don’t understand why they continue to break out. As estheticians, we have the ability to not only treat the visible condition of their skin, but also to help calm their anxiety and raise their self-esteem when it comes to their skin. As an esthetician myself, I have found the best place to start when treating acne is to take the time to figure out why your client is breaking out. Is it hormonal? Are they not cleansing properly? Are they actually reacting to their at-home products? Is it bacterial, systemic or their diet? This question needs to be answered before a treatment plan is created. But, it is also the most difficult question to answer. My job is to bring you the answers!
