are sometimes referred to as Holy Spirits. There are six Amesha Spentas, or “holy immortal ones�: Ameretat (Immortality), Asha Vahishta (Spirit of Truth), Haurvatat (Wholeness), Khshathra Vairya (Warrior), Spenta Armaiti (Devotion), and Vohu Manah (Righteous Thinking). Amitiel: Amitiel is generally considered the angel of truth. (However, both Gabriel and Michael have also been given this title at times.) He can be called upon for help in any matters requiring honesty and integrity. According to Jewish legend, Amitiel argued against the creation of humanity because he felt humans would ultimately turn against God and cause enormous misery and distress. Amitiel wears white robes and has a large pendant of a cross on his chest. His right hand is held at head height, with the first two fingers upraised. His thumb holds the other two fingers in his palm. See Gabriel, Michael. Amnediel: Amnediel is one of the twenty-eight angels who govern the mansions of the moon. Amnediel is responsible for Alnaza, the eighth mansion. Amnediel helps create friendship, love, and happy times for travelers. He also repels mice and imprisons captives. See mansions of the moon. Amnitziel (Amnitzial): Amnitziel is considered to be the Archangel who looks after the astrological sign of Pisces and the month of February. He is assisted by Vakhabiel. See Archangels, Vakhabiel. Amnixiel: Amnixiel is mentioned in a list of the seven electors in Hell, which, if true, makes him a fallen angel.
