From an early age, LeVanuel was taught to appreciate the transformative power of education. This appreciation was deeply rooted in his upbringing and ultimately guided him to pursue higher education at the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a degree in Sociology with a minor in Political Science. His academic path was significantly influenced by his familial background, propelling him to delve into studies that explored the complexities of social structures and human interactions. His decision to attend the University of Texas was set in stone during his middle school years, thanks to the inspiring experiences shared by his brother and cousin, both of whom attended UT. His engagement with various cultures and ideas broadened his worldview and refined his interpersonal skills.
