Phlebotomy I
This course introduces you to the basic procedures used for obtaining blood from veins or capillaries. It also provides skills improvement for those who are already employed in the profession. You learn the appropriate way to use the equipment and the different types of blood tubes and draws. Upon completion, you will be eligible to take the NHA certification exam. Phlebotomy II: Advanced Clinical
Prerequisites: PLB 101 (taken within 7 months prior to PLB 102), CPR 100 or have permission from coordinator, and submission of required health clearance forms prior to taking PLB 102. (Required for PLB Tech & PCT/PCA)
PLB 102 / 17 sessions / 50 hours / Hybrid* / $545 Mon/Tue* 6:30-9:30 pm Jul 11-Sep 6 *Sessions held in Zoom and in-person skills sessions on Tuesday at COTC. COVID-19 vaccination and booster required: see cuny.edu for more information.
