Ms. Marivir ModestoMercado, Academic Directress, introduced the four floral houses; Yellow Jasmine, Red Roses, White Lily, and Blue Iris.

The House of Jasmine leads the houses, followed by the House of Red Rose, while the House of Lily and Iris garnered the same spot. Winners will be identified at the end of the academic year.

“At this stage of introducing, the launching as well as the organizing of the houses, has gone well. However, more is expected in the upcoming events, such as sports competitions that should be held among the houses per level and per house so everyone is involved and older kids can participate equally, along with the spelling bee. Everyone is included and welcomed.” said Ms. Mercado.

The initial plan was for the four houses to meet twice a month, but because of classes interruption due to various school-related activities, this was replanned to twice a month next semester. Nonetheless, Miss Marivir hopes that each SAMISIANS will be wearing their official house color, which can also be used as a Physical Education uniform.

Miss Marvivir also congratulated the girls’ section for embracing new ideas, such as launching a house. She also acknowledged the teachers who worked tirelessly and did their best to come up with a presentation during Foundation day, along with the enormous support of the management for allotting a budget for the formation of houses.
