Meet The Cast

Iris DeWitt is excited to return LST, but this time, in person! She was the voice of Audrey II in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS here last summer. Originally from Arizona, Iris has been performing in the greater Charlotte area since 2016 after graduating from law school. Her most recent work could be seen in POTUS (Chris) at Charlotte Conservatory Theatre and ROCK OF AGES (Justice) at Hickory Community Theatre. She looks forward to playing Barbara Cartland in DIANA: THE MUSICAL with QC Concerts at the end of this month. Other favorite credits include EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL (Cheryl) at Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte, SISTER ACT (Deloris) at Matthews Playhouse, GHOSTS OF BOGOTÁ (Lola) at Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte, CHESS (Florence) at CPCC, and BEEHIVE THE 60s MUSICAL (Wanda) at CPCC Summer Theatre. In her downtime, Iris enjoys cooking and volunteering with her lovely Alpha Kappa Alpha sisters. She is also a first degree black belt in taekwondo. Joey Moray has worked for over 30 years acting, directing, and teaching at many professional and community theaters along the east coast, including Signature Theatre, Virginia Musical Theatre, MidCity Productions, Genesius Theatre, Star of the Day Productions, First Street Players, The Green Room Community Theatre, Theatre Statesville, Lee Street Theatre, Piedmont Players and Hickory Community Theatre. He was last seen performing in Lend me a Tenor (Max) at Lee Street Theatre. Some of his favorite roles include Memphis (Huey Calhoun), Bright Star (Jimmy Ray), The Secret Garden (Archibald Craven), Rock of Ages (Lonny), Beauty and the Beast (Beast), Young Frankenstein (The Monster), and Side Show (Terry). He has a BFA in Acting from Shenandoah Conservatory with minors in Voice and Piano. He sends all of his love to the Elle Woods of his life, Simmon and to all his friends/family in attendance. @datsamoray

Jaylyn Powell is excited to be in her first show with Lee Street Theater! Jaylyn is a lawyer by day, so Legally Blonde has always held a very special place in her heart and she is ecstatic to bring this amazing show to life. You may have seen her recently in Sister Act or Miracle on 34th Street with Matthew’s Playhouse. Jaylyn would like to thank her husband, Aaron, her mom, her dad, and a shoutout to her Grandmother Vickie who was always down to watch Legally Blonde with her. Lastly, but certainly NOT least, she would like to thank all her friends and family who traveled from near and far to come out and support her.

Alana Williamson (she/her) is a rising Sophomore Musical Theatre Major at Catawba College. She’s so grateful for the opportunity to work with Lee Street Theatre and the company of Legally Blonde! Some of her recent credits include Marie Laveau in Mythos, Calliope in Xanadu, Mikki in Voices of Carmen, Ensemble in 9 to 5, and Ensemble in All Shook Up. She would like to thank all of the fantabulous humans for their love and support.

Kiara Carol is excited to be working with the Lee Street Theatre. Her favorite credits include “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” with Porter Ridge, and “The Wedding Singer” with CPCC. She has an Associates degree in musical theater from Central Piedmont Community College. She is the lead singer of “Dovecage”, a pop punk band in Cornelius, NC.

Francine (they/them) is a rising sophomore at Catawba college. They are in Shuford School of Performing Arts working towards a BFA in Musical Theatre. Francine is excited to expand their knowledge of theatre and different ways to perform. They hope you enjoy the show!

Ayazhane is so excited to be at Lee Street doing her first ever musical Legally Blonde. She does Theatre at Salisbury High where she currently attends. She enjoys music and dancing and can’t wait to be onstage!!!

Kaitlyn is so excited to be doing her first show at Lee Street and has had an incredible time ! She has done shows at TGR in Newton including “Mamma Mia” and “Hello Dolly!” She has also done many shows at North Lincoln High school, most recently playing the Dowager Empress in “Anastasia.” She is attending Elon university in the fall for arts administration and also would like to thank everyone involved for making her summer so fun!

Jessica Jax (she/they) is super stoked to finally be performing with Lee Street! Originally from the Tampa area, she is happy to make Charlotte her new home! Recent notable productions include Proxymoron’s PUFFS! as Megan Jones and the CoOwner/Director of Team Odds and Ends’ production of THE TRAIL TO OREGON!, where she played Mother. Thank you to Rod for checking a dream role off the list!!

Nick Southwick, ratiocinative raconteur, is pleased to return to Lee Street for Legally Blonde. His previous credits include “South Pacific” with the Dilworth Players, “Something Rotten” with Theatre Charlotte, and “Hurricane Smith and the Garden of the Golden Monkey” at the Williamston Theatre. When not performing, Nick can be found sitting at a piano, playing games, songwriting, or occasionally chasing waterfalls.

Dontel Lewis Mills (31) was born in Seattle Washington and moved to North Carolina at 10 and was a Newton Conover Red Devil (2009). Dontel’s hobbies include reading, hanging with friends, and singing karaoke at local Venues around Hickory and surrounding areas. Dontel also works at Texas Roadhouse as a server in the Hickory area and loves to chat with regulars and people from shows. Dontel has been in a few productions such as Hair and DreamGirls and Memphis for HCT but is excited to Step into the role Of Warner for LeeStreet and have some fun with his amazing castmates.

Abby is thrilled to be back home on the Lee Street stage! Before graduating from Catawba in May 2022 she performed as Lita Encore in Ruthless! The Musical as well as Alicia in The Thanksgiving play. Besides that she has been using her BA in Theatre Arts (Minoring in education) to a great extent! She is a first year Theatre Arts teacher at North Rowan High School where she directed You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown and Elf the Musical Jr. She also directed two shows at Lee Street, Moana Jr and The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet. She has been very busy behind the scenes lately, but she is no stranger to the stage, most recently she played Margo in Bright Star at Davie County Arts Council. At Lee Street some of her credits include Chiffon in Little Shop of Horrors, Nurse Kelly in Harvey, Mrs. Webb in Our Town and Frenchy in Grease. She also has performed at Piedmont Players, she was Chris in Rumors back in 2020. She hopes that you enjoy the show! @abbycskibsted

Tori Carpenter is an actress, singer, and K-12 Theatre Arts teacher currently residing in China Grove, NC. She has a BA in Drama from UNC Asheville and has performed with Lee Street Theatre, Piedmont Players Theatre, Carol Belk Theatre, and Carson Theatre. Some of her prior roles include Lindsay in Godspell (Lee Street), Head Puppeteer in Little Shop of Horrors (Lee Street), Tilly in She Kills Monsters (UNC Asheville), Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing (Piedmont Players), and Marmee in Little Women (Carson Theatre).

Alexis Nason, a Pennsylvania native, has grown up in the theatre playing numerous roles in high school plays and musicals. In college she studied dance and performed as Brainless Model in “Murder in the Knife Room” and a dancer in “Cabaret.” Alexis is a middle school English Teacher at China Grove. When not onstage she enjoys working out, being outdoors and spending time with her friends and family including her husband Daniel and their dog Chloee.

Manisha Parekh is excited to be back on the Lee Street stage! She has previously performed in The Vagina Monologues and Motherhood Out Loud with the company. Previous credits include Rock of Ages (Hickory Community Theater), Mamma Mia and Legally Blonde (Davidson Community Players), Rocky Horror Show (Warehouse Performing Arts Center). A clinical psychologist by day, she is grateful to her family for continually encouraging her to get back on stage and supporting her through each show.

Mason is so estatic to be a part of this production! A performing arts teacher, hailing from Charlotte, NC, Mason has been seen in many Lee Street Theatre productions such as Blood Done Signed My Name (Eddie McCoy/Boo Chavis), Harvey (Wilson), The Play That Goes Wrong (Trevor) and Wait Until Dark (Mike). A graduate from Catawba College, with a degree in Theatre Education and minor in Creative Writing, he has also been seen in Catawba Productions such as All The Great Books, Abridged (Coach), Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead (Matt) and Anything Goes (Sailor/ Captain u/s). Mason wants to thank his dad, aunt, girlfriend and all his friends for their continuous support and hopes that you enjoy this show! Instagram: mase_livers02

Raven Monroe has a BA in theatre from UNC Charlotte and is a proud MFA graduate from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. She is a theatre performer and playwright, and currently teaches theatre theory and performance at UNC Charlotte, as well as private lessons at Lanti Performing Arts in Indian Trail. Raven is a Charlotte native and comes from a musical family that includes her brother Andrew Monroe (also in this cast.) She has been in productions such as Godspell and Oklahoma! at Matthews Playhouse, and recently worked as the coordinator for the NC in the Margins Play Festival with Queen City New Play Initiative. Raven is excited to be performing at Lee Street Theatre for the first time!

Evan Moreno is a college student at Catawba College and this is his second production with Lee St Theater, but his first time being on the Lee St Stage! In his first year at Catawba he performed in Songs For a New World, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, and will be returning to Lee St for season 16! He will also be in Catawba College’s performance of Spring Awakening and Jekyll and Hyde! He is TOTALLY STOKED to perform with this amazing cast!!

Caeley Mayo is excited for the opportunity to work on “Legally Blonde” at Lee Street Theatre! Caeley attended UNC Greensboro where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in K-12 Theatre Education. She is currently working as the director of the theatre program at Salisbury High School. Caeley was heavily involved in musicals and plays in high school and is looking forward to performing again! This is her first show with Lee Street Theatre and she is “Serious”ly delighted to be here.

Raquel Oden has been involved in all facets of theater for over 25 years. She was most recently seen in Lee Street Theatre’s production of Godspell. Some of her favorite roles include Alison in Fun Home, Lucy in You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, and Ivy in August Osage County. Originally from California this valley girl is excited to relive her youth! She would like to thank the production team for all their hard work and especially her husband, Rod, for supporting her theater passion.

Mr. Keith Logan is pleased to be making his Lee Street Theater debut in Legally Blonde. He was recently awarded the 2022 Metrolina Theater Award for best male lead actor in a musical for his role as Ken in Green Door Community Theatre’s production of Ain’t Misbehavin”. Other productions have included “Toni Stone”, “Ragtime”, “Jesus Christ Superstar”, and “Jitney”. He is so excited to share the stage with so talented a cast and to be working with so gifted a director, music director, and production team! “Bend and Snap

Salei Seisay is so excited to work with Lee street on Legally Blonde!! She currently attends Salisbury High Schoo and is Heavily involved in Theatre there. Salei loves all things Theatre and Music and is “Positive-ly” excited to be Legally Blonde.

Garrett Jennings is a senior at Catawba College who will be graduating this semester with a BFA in Musical Theatre. Garrett was mostly recently seen doing Deck Crew for Catawba College’s production of Always...Patsy Cline and Lee Street Theatre’s production of Dracula as Harker. Some of his other recent roles include Sylvia St. Croix in Ruthless! (Catawba College), Roger in Grease (Lee Street Theatre), Josh Newstead/Ensemble in 9 to 5: The Musical (Lee Street Theatre) and Ensemble in Sonnets for an Old Century (Catawba College) Garrett is very excited to be part of this amazing production with so many wonderful people and he can’t wait to see what’s next for him as he moves into his theatre career!!

Alexis Johnson is excited to be making her debut at Lee St Theatre! Some of her favorite past roles include: Belle in Beauty and the Beast and Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods (Blumey Award nominated for Best Actress). Thank you to my family and friends for all the support and pushing me to get back on the stage!

LaLa Loudermilk (she/her) is excited to be reprising the role of Bruiser for the sixth time, but is debating a life of retirement after this production. She has also been seen on stage in Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill and The Taffetas, both directed by her daddy. She is excited to be sharing the stage for the first time with her brother, Reepicheep.

Reepicheep Loudermilk (he/him) is excited to be making his stage debut. Unlike his sister, he has not had much of a desire to be on stage, but thought he would give it a try. When he is not on stage, you can find him snoozin’, searching for treats and harassing his sister, LaLa.
