He is the chief investment officer of Meruelo Group as well as the president and chief investment officer of its investment affiliate, Meruelo Investment Partners. He oversees investments and acquisitions, deal origination, underwriting, execution and capital sourcing. Gutierrez also plays an integral role in the strategic management of the Meruelo Group’s 29 affiliated companies across 10 primary industries.
