The Nonprofit Infrastructure Grant Program

The Nonprofit Infrastructure Grant was created after the Colorado House Bill 22-1356 was signed into law on June 3, 2022, to help underrepresented communities with limited access to state and federal funding and those impacted and disproportionately impacted by the pandemic. The emphasis on infrastructure and capacity building will help small nonprofits build the effectiveness of their staff and boards, while providing critical funds to proactively invest in the organization’s reach and impact. The grant is designed for nonprofits in historically-marginalized communities that need more foundational help. A total of $33,100,000 in grants will be awarded - with selected organizations awarded up to $100,000.

Additionally, if a tax-exempt charitable or social welfare group operating under a 501(c)(3) acts as a fiscal sponsor to small community-based groups (SCBG) that are not registered nonprofit organizations, those groups are also eligible for this grant funding.

How to Apply

To apply, interested applicants should contact their geographically-appointed Regional Access Partner (RAP) directly for technical assistance and to learn more about the process, criteria, and funding. RAPs are collaborating with DOLA to help select and administer grants within their particular regions.

Organizations must provide a Unique Entity ID (UEI) number from the federal government and meet the eligibility requirements. Applications are submitted directly through one of the eight Regional Access Partners (RAPs), determined by the location of the organization’s headquarters. Funding is allocated for infrastructure needs only. Grant awardees will be notified by their RAP by January 31, 2024.

Denver, CO, 30 de mayo de 2023 – El Latino Community Foundation of Colorado (LCFC), Communities Lead, Communities Thrive (CLCT) y el Colorado Department of Local Affairs (Departamento de asuntos locales de Colorado o DOLA por sus siglas en inglés) anunció el Nonprofit Infrastructure (NPI) Grant Program (Programa de Subvenciones para Infraestructuras sin fines de lucro (NPI)), un programa estatal de subvenciones para pequeñas organizaciones comunitarias sin fines de lucro que prestan servicios a comunidades históricamente infrarrepresentadas, desatendidas o con escasos recursos.

LCFC es una fundación filantrópica estatal dirigida por latinos y para latinos. La misión de LCFC es trabajar de la mano con nuestras diversas comunidades para crear estrategias culturalmente sensibles que construyan influencia, equidad y oportunidades para todos los latinos de Colorado.

LCFC, en colaboración con DOLA, busca solicitantes con presupuestos anuales comprendidos entre 150,000 y 2,000,000 de dólares, que se hayan visto afectados por las secuelas de infraestructura de COVID-19. Aunque la subvención no se destina a la programación, abre las puertas a otras oportunidades como la planificación estratégica, el desarrollo profesional de la junta directiva y el personal, la tecnología, etc.

La solicitud se abrirá el 5 de julio de 2023 y se cerrará el 31 de agosto de 2023.

Programa de subvenciones para infraestructuras sin fines de lucro

El Subsidio para Infraestructura sin fines de lucro se creó después de que el proyecto de Colorado House Bill 22-1356 (ley 22-1356 de la Cámara de Colorado) se convirtiera en ley el 3 de junio de 2022, para ayudar a las comunidades subrepresentadas con acceso limitado a la financiación estatal y federal y a aquellas afectadas y desproporcionadamente afectadas por la pandemia. El énfasis en el desarrollo de infraestructuras y capacidades ayudará a las pequeñas organizaciones sin fines de lucro a crear personal y juntas directivas fundamentales, al tiempo que proporciona fondos para invertir de forma proactiva en la composición de la organización. La subvención está destinada a organizaciones sin fines de lucro de comunidades históricamente marginadas que necesitan más ayuda fundacional. Además, si un grupo benéfico o de bienestar social exento de impuestos que opere bajo la categoría 501(c)(3) actúa como patrocinador fiscal de pequeños grupos comunitarios (SCBG) que no sean organizaciones sin fines de lucro registradas, dichos grupos también podrán optar a esta subvención.

Cómo presentar la solicitud

Para presentar su solicitud, los interesados deben ponerse en contacto directamente con su Socio de Acceso Regional (RAP) designado geográficamente para recibir asistencia técnica y obtener más información sobre el proceso, los criterios y la financiación. Los RAP están colaborando con DOLA para ayudar a seleccionar y administrar las subvenciones dentro de sus regiones particulares.
