There are five major airports that are near Huntington Beach. John Wayne Airport, Orange County (SNA) (ocair.com) is the closest at 10 miles away, followed by Long Beach Airport (LGB) (longbeach.gov/lgb), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) (flylax. com), Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) (hollywoodburbankairport.com) and Ontario

International Airport (ONT) (flyontario.com)

From the airport, you can take a car or shuttle service such as Best VIP Chauffeured Worldwide (714-375-9128, best-vip.com), ExecuCar (800-410-4444, execucar.com), or Super Shuttle (800-BLUE-VAN, supershuttle. com). Visitors to John Wayne Airport can also take an OCTA bus.

Orange County Transportation Authority (octa.net) is the county’s planning commission that offers convenient transportation services to keep travelers moving safely including bus and rail transit, environmental programs, humanpowered mobility, express lanes, and freeways.

BY RAIL

Amtrak (800-872-7245, amtrak.com) and Metrolink (800-371-5465, metrolinktrains.com) are the region’s convenient rail options, making stops at the nearby Anaheim and Santa Ana train depots.

BY BUS

Greyhound (800-231-2222, greyhound.com) and OCTA buses are also available at the Anaheim and Santa Ana stations.

By Car

Visitors can access Huntington Beach via PCH (California 1) and the San Diego Freeway (Interstate 405). Need to pay a toll? The Toll Roads of Orange County (thetollroads. com) includes California 73, 133, 241, and 261 highways. Go online to access news and alerts, maps, and payment options.

Currency

If you have a bankcard from a participating banking network or credit card company, you can withdraw U.S. currency from automated teller machines (ATMs), banks, and other businesses. Dress

Casual, comfortable clothing is standard year-round. Hawaiian shirts and flip flops are never out of place in Huntington Beach. Jackets and ties are optional, even in the most elegant of restaurants. Evenings and winter afternoons may require a jacket, sweater, or sweatshirt. Dressing in layers is recommended to help stay comfortable from morning until night. Don’t forget sunglasses, hats, and sunscreen.
