Bolsa Chica State Beach RV Camping

The state campground has over 50 campsites that stay filled year-round, and you often need to reserve space months in advance to get in. A high percentage of campers bring surfboards, as well as bikes to ride the popular multipurpose trail that runs from Seal Beach to Newport Beach. 17851 Pacific Coast Hwy., Huntington Beach, 714-846-3460, parks.ca.gov/bolsachica

Huntington Beach RV Campground

The city’s RV park, with 46 available spots, is positioned just south of the Pier and allows for a unique visitor experience. Just as appealing, your backyard is downtown HB, where you can walk to bars, restaurants, surf stores, and boutique shops. Directly behind the RVers is Pacific City, loaded with shopping and family dining. Open from October to May. 20903 Pacific Coast Hwy., Huntington Beach, 714-536-5281, hbrv.org
