Olds named Director of Athletics and Recreation
Terlynn Olds has been named the first full-time Director of Athletics and Recreation at LaGrange College. Olds most recently was executive senior associate director of athletics and senior woman administrator at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
“Terlynn has extensive leadership and management experience in intercollegiate athletics programs at the NCAA Division I and III levels,” said LaGrange College president Dr. Susanna Baxter.
Olds also has served as the deputy athletics director at Grambling State University and the senior associate for internal and business operations at Chicago State University. She was the director of athletics at Chatham University and associate athletics director at Spelman College.
Her experience includes four terms as a head women’s basketball coach. A member of several professional organizations, she has participated in numerous executive leadership programs sponsored by the NCAA. Olds also has served on key campus committees, as well as several athletic conference committees during her tenure in college athletics.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in sports business from Saint Leo (Florida) University, a master’s in science of sports coaching from United States Sports Academy and a master’s in criminal justice from Saint Leo.
Olds began work at LC on June 1.
