Full Day Walk To Freedom Tour
Walk in the footsteps of the local communities seeing where and how both past and present generations lived during the dark days of apartheid, and experience how people of these townships live today. Explore the riveting District Six Museum then tour Langa, the oldest apartheid housing scheme in the Cape. Experience life in a township, with an informal visit to a spaza shop, a shebeen (pub), and a hostel. In the afternoon visit Robben Island, the prison home of Nelson Mandela for so many years.

Enjoy three relaxing days in the small seaside town of Hermanus. This quaint town offers some of the best land based whale watching in the world, mainly during August to November. From the cliff paths you’ll have the unique experience of watching whales spyhopping, breaching and lobtailing. During your time in Hermanus, you’ll transfer to Gansbaai for a boat based eco marine trip (Jan-Jun), searching for African Penguins, Seals, Dolphins, Great White Sharks, various bird species, Humpback and Brydes Whales. Knysna is well known for many things, apart from its natural beauty, arts and crafts community, cosmopolitan waterfront... and its own oysters! Spend some time here with your shopping bags before going on to The Featherbed Nature Reserve with its forests, marshes and pristine beaches, accessed by ferry. From there, the views across to the imposing sandstone Kynsna Heads and beyond are alone worth the ride. On return to the Mother City you’ll slow down considerably at Hermanus and Swellendam, renowned for their land-based whale watching, feathers, oysters, whales and art.
