ingsport Assembly No. 244, Tenn., welcomed Supreme Worthy President (Mrs. Charles M) Susan Thames and Sir Knight Charles home in stately fashion at the Park Vista in beautiful Gatlinburg, Tenn., the gateway to the Smokey Mountain National Park. A reception and ice cream social were held on Friday evening. On Saturday guests and honorees enjoyed activities in the park and city followed by a banquet and social time where Mrs. Thames was showered with gifts from the Assembly. Among the honored guests present were Past Supreme Worthy Presidents (Mrs. Keith W) Sandy Dean and Ms Kimberly Burnett, as well as Tennessee’s Most Worshipful Grand Master of Free and Accepted Masons, Sir Knight Robert Waldron, who is also currently serving as Southeast Department Commander for the Grand Encampment of Knights Templar. Deputy Grand Commander of Tennessee, Sir Knight Robert Beam, referred to Galatians 6:9 to encourage each guest to: “Be not weary in well doing, for in due season, we shall reap if we faint not” at the Sunday morning Vesper service.
