VALUABLE MARKET DATA

AUTHOR: RACHEL WAKEFIELD The International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH), in association with Union Fleurs, the International Flower Trade Association, announces the 70th version of the International Statistics – Flowers and Plants 2022.

The International Statistics Flowers and Plants Yearbook has the most comprehensive production and trade data collection for the ornamental plants and flower industry. This annual publication is invaluable to trade organisations, policymakers, marketers, producers, traders, libraries, and universities. In its 70th year, the contents result from extensive research and data compiled by the Centre for Business Management in Horticulture and Applied Research, Leibniz University Hanover, Germany. The Statistics Yearbook provides production data for over 40 countries, detailed country breakdowns, product comparisons, market data and prices and global import and export data. This edition also features additional survey responses about how the Covid-19 pandemic has driven a more significant demand in the markets for cut flowers and potted and bedding plants. However, the rise in energy prices and the availability of workers is impacting production. The 2022 Yearbook is published as a pdf document and features 232 pages of illustrations, tables, diagrams and maps of crucial production data. The International Statistics Flowers and Plants 2022 will officially launch on Wednesday, 9 November, at the opening of Trade Fair Aalsmeer. The 2022 digital version will be available to purchase and download for 195 euros from the AIPH website from the TFA launch date at www.aiph.org/giic/international-statistical-yearbook/
