THE KINKAID SCHOOL
New Trustee Christine Robertson Morenz ’92 joined the Board of Trustees on June 1. Mrs. Morenz is a graduate of the Plan II Honors Program and School of Communications at the University of Texas at Austin. She worked in the fashion industry. She has been active with numerous community organizations including Texas Children’s Hospital, Bayou Bend and the Houston Museum of Natural Science in Houston; School of American Ballet in New York; and the Elizabeth Ann Seton Board, The Blanton Museum of Art, Trinity Episcopal Day School and St. Matthew’s Episcopal Day School in Austin. Mrs. Morenz is a third generation Kinkaidian, joining her mother, Barbara Moses Robertson ’65, and her paternal grandmother, Wilhelmina Cullen Robertson Smith ’40, who attended class in Mrs. Kinkaid’s original schoolhouse. She and her husband Shea are parents of Lillie ’21, Hope ’23, and Shea Jr., age 5. The School also extends thanks to departing Trustee Joe Hafner for his dedicated service.
Moms & Dads of Grads On May 6, over 125 parents whose last child graduated from Kinkaid prior to 2014 gathered for the annual Moms and Dads of Grads Social.
