Kent Strunk

Kent Strunk is an attorney and trial lawyer with more than 25 years of experience in criminal defense. Over the course of his career, he has built a reputation for steady preparation, clear strategy, and consistent dedication to those he represents. His work reflects careful judgment and long-term commitment to the legal profession. Kent graduated from the Northern Illinois College of Law in 1998 and entered criminal defense immediately. Early in his career, he became known for his courtroom focus. He has completed more than 100 felony jury trials, including two high-profile murder cases. For three consecutive years, the Minnesota Public Defenders Office recognized him for conducting the highest number of jury trials in the 9th Judicial District. From March 2022 to July 2024, he worked with the National Opinion Research Center in Chicago, contributing to national survey efforts. His duties involved conducting field interviews for studies such as the Consumer Finance Survey and the Early Childcare and Education Survey. This work required accuracy, strong communication skills, and effective organization. He considers this period an essential part of his career, as it supported research that informs national programs and policy. Community involvement has long been significant to him.
