Ken Perlstein
Ken Perlstein is a New York-based actor, writer, and comedian whose career has included work on stage, television, film, and stand-up comedy. He has built a reputation for seamlessly transitioning between comedy and drama, while remaining true to character-centered storytelling. He grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he studied acting and directing at the University of Michigan. In 1994, he moved to New York to pursue his career, beginning with his first industry role as an NBC page. That opportunity provided him with direct exposure to television production and introduced him to the discipline required to succeed in the field. Ken later earned his MFA in Acting through The Actors Studio MFA Program at The New School. There, he trained with members of The Actors Studio and worked closely with established professionals, further developing his craft and performance skills. On stage, he has taken on roles in productions such as Laughter on the 23rd Floor and Lost in Yonkers. His television work includes recurring appearances on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and guest roles on shows like Succession, The Americans, City on a Hill, Person of Interest, and FBI. Perlstein expanded his career into writing, producing, creating, directing, and starring in the independent film January, which was showcased at the Millennial Film Festival and the Miami Independent Film Festival. He also wrote and executive-produced the television pilot "How Am I Doing?", which was screened at festivals across the country and is now available online. Both projects brought him recognition for his acting and directing. He is now working on developing an original series and preparing a pitch deck for the project. His stand-up comedy career has spanned more than two decades, with regular performances at New York City venues including Caroline’s, Comic Strip Live, Stand Up New York, and the British Comedy Festival.
