For 20 years, Titan Environmental has been focused on helping build better infrastructure. What started as a small, specialized supplier has grown into a North American leader in geosynthetics, supporting civil infrastructure, mining, and environmental projects with materials, technical expertise, and field support that contractors and engineers rely on. As a long-time member of the Manitoba Heavy Construction Association (MHCA), Titan’s growth reflects the kind of steady, relationshipdriven success that defines much of Manitoba’s heavy construction sector. When Titan was founded, geosynthetics were still gaining traction across North America, and there was a noticeable disconnect between design intent and available solutions. Derek Bishop, CEO and Partner, and Juice Lambert, President and Partner, point to that moment as a key driver behind the company’s creation. “20 years ago, geosynthetics were still emerging, and there was a clear gap between what engineers needed and what the market was offering,” they explained. “We saw an opportunity to bring together technical expertise, reliable products, and hands-on support to an industry that was ready for innovation.” Over the years, Titan’s growth has been shaped by a series of deliberate decisions, particularly around investing in technical expertise and expanding its operational capabilities. From the outset, 24
the company focused on building a team that understood the engineering behind the products. “We made a decision early on to invest in technical knowledge, not just to sell materials, but to help solve problems,” said Bishop and Lambert.
