Friendship Blooms Show your appreciation for a fellow member of the community; it may be a friend, a family member or maybe someone you’ve come into contact with who provides a wonderful service Beverley Kennedy or who works hard to make a difference. Let All Things Local surprise them with a fresh bouquet of flowers. All Things Local has joined forces with Beverley Kennedy (pictured) from Floraline, Gregory’s Way in Belper, to offer readers the chance to show their appreciation for a fellow member of the community. The recipients of this issue’s bouquet are John and Eileen Chadwick, from Shottlegate. They were nominated by their neighbours, Andrew and Marie Bevan. Here’s what they wrote: “100 words can’t sum up what John and Eileen Chadwick do for others locally and for the community at large. They are like family to many of us, always there to listen or support. From John’s Fire Service to volunteering to help children to read at a Belper school to everything that they do for Hazelwood Church they’re there; they even figure out the marquees for the fête and Eileen, amongst many other tasks, always takes her turn doing the church arrangements despite her aversion to flower arranging, which is why a pre-made bundle would be extra special! ” Andrew and Marie Bevan Nominate someone to receive the next bouquet. All you have to do is state, in no more than 100 words, who you are nominating. Include their address and the reasons why you are nominating them. You can nominate more than one person if they are living/ working at the same address… and remember – flowers don’t just have to be for women! The only rule is that the person receiving the flowers must live or work in the distribution area of All Things Local, Belper Edition (listed on front cover). Just write your nomination on a piece of paper and send to Friendship Blooms, All Things Local, 74 Woodhouse Road, Kilburn, Belper, Derbyshire DE56 0NA or e-mail your nomination to helen@allthingslocal.co.uk putting ‘Friendship Blooms’ as the subject. Please include your full name, address and daytime telephone number on your nomination.
