He was promoted to Director of Football Operations in 2018 after serving a season as the Director of Player Personnel (2017). Borgonzi was promoted to Director of Player Personnel in 2017 after serving two seasons as the Co-Director of Player Personnel (2015-16). He served as the club's Assistant Director of Pro Scouting (2013-14) and as the club's Pro Personnel Scout (2011-12) where he assisted the

personnel department with the scouting of all current players with professional playing experience as well as the scouting of future Chiefs opponents. In 2010, he served as the Manager of Football Operations where he coordinated all the team’s logistics, managed day-to-day football operations and wrote player evaluation reports on a weekly basis for the club’s advance scouting. In 2009, Borgonzi served as the team’s college scouting administrator. Prior to joining the Chiefs, he served two seasons as the Assistant Recruiting Coordinator at Boston College (2007-08). Prior to a stint in the financial sector, he served as a tight ends coach at Amherst College in 2002. The Everett, Mass., native had a tryout with the Buffalo Bills in 2002 and attended training camp with the Green Bay Blizzard of Arena Football 2 in 2003 before an injury forced his retirement. He was a four-year starter as a fullback at Brown University, earning All-Ivy League honors three times. Education: Brown (B.A. 2002). Family: Wife - Jill; Son, Joseph; Daughter, Nina.
