Celebration of Life

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Peppino Giuseppe (Joe) Trotta on April 11, 2017 at the age of 67. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years Kathryn Goudy, his daughters Maria (Ryan) Palmer and Kristen Johnson of Kamloops, his sons Grant Johnson of Calgary and Michael Trotta of Kamloops, and his granddaughters Mikayla, Megan and Aliyah. Joe also leaves to mourn his brother Dante Trotta and his twin sister Maria Trotta, both of Italy, numerous nieces and nephews as well as many friends and other relatives. Joe came to Kamloops from Torano Castello, Italy in 1968 as a teenager. During his many years in Kamloops, he had a variety of professions. He was finally able to follow his passion by opening his own business, Joe’s Cement Finishing & Landscaping. Joe loved working outdoors on his hobby farm and being his own boss. He loved fishing in all forms, camping and travelling. We had travelled multiple times to Italy, Mexico and the US. Mostly Joe loved his family and spending time with his three granddaughters. Joe will be so sadly missed and will be in our hearts forever. A Memorial Service followed by a reception in Joe’s honour will be held at the Colombo Lodge on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.

One year ago today, April 23, 2016 God called you home. We thought about you today, But that is nothing new. We thought about you yesterday, And the days before that too. We think of you in silence, And we often speak your name. All we have is memories, And your picture in a frame. Your memory is a keepsake, From which we’ll never part. God has you in His arms, We have you in our heart. Abra, we hold to God’s promise to be reunited with you and your sister Hannah one glorious day!
