Goals and Objectives: • Install defibrillators (AEDs) in schools, athletic venues and public gathering places and facilitate training of individuals in the use of AEDs and CPR. • Propose and sponsor legislative efforts to encourage widespread placement of AEDs. • Raise awareness of sudden cardiac arrest and the key role of bystanders in saving lives. • Fund research on genetic cardiac disorders that increase risk of sudden cardiac death. • Promote and support screening for sudden cardiac arrest risk factors
