JUDGING TEAM: Celebrating the best-of-the-best in yearbook design and coverage, the Jostens Look Book is the largest and most comprehensive publication of its type in the world. A panel of award-winning yearbook advisers carefully selected the best spreads and covers from yearbooks produced by Jostens: MITCH EDEN Kirkwood High School [MO] LIZ KEELING Champlin Park High School [MN] LAURIE HANSEN Stillwater Area High School [MN] LIZ WALSH Reno High School [NV] JUDGING COORDINATORS: Lindsey Miceli and Tim Gierba, both of Jostens, assisted the judges. Gary Lundgren, Jostens, coordinated the judging. PRINTING: The Jostens Look Book was printed in the U.S.A. by Jostens using state-of-the-art digital prepress technology and Komori Super Perfector offset presses. The press run was 13,500 copies.

PRODUCTION: The Look Book pages were designed using Adobe InDesign CC. The page trim size is 9 x 12 inches. DIGITAL IMAGING: James Cordell, Jostens, shot all of the studio images of yearbooks. Yearbook spreads were reproduced from images provided by the Jostens yearbook plants. Special thanks to Tony Wallace, Jostens graphics systems engineer, for managing the processing of yearbook spreads. TYPOGRAPHY: Different typographic weights and variations of the Adobe Helvetica Neue family and the Archer family by Hoefler & Frere-Jones. BINDING: Rounded and backed with headbands. COVER: The Look Book features a custom embossed cover produced using Regal material [#857 Moonstone] with horizontal debossed lines. The Jostens logo on the back cover is debossed and highlighted with gloss UV. Silk-screening [#325 white] is used on the spine. On the front cover, the embossed rectangular area is silk-screened with custom ink to match PMS 1595 [orange]. The “IN IT” text is debossed and highlighted with silk-screening [#325 white]. The “LOOK BOOK” title is bevel debossed and accented with gloss UV.
PAPER: The 296 inside pages are printed in process color on 100# Premium Matte [#198]. The Premium Matte offers the highest brightness and unparalleled smoothness. ENDSHEETS: Featuring Jostens Oxford [#268 white] endsheet stock printed in PMS 021U. JOSTENS TEAM: The 2017 Look Book was edited by Gary Lundgren. Sally Schlosser served as managing editor. Chris Koshiol was art director. Kit Neville handled production. Joshua Linville is the editor for the 2018 edition. SUBMISSIONS: Advisers are welcome to submit 2016 fall delivery and 2017 spring delivery yearbooks, printed by Jostens, to be considered for inclusion in the 2018 edition of the Look Book.
