His son, Mike Thompson, has served as President since 1986 and Mike’s daughter, Lucy Thompson Marsh, is Vice President of Parts. The company specializes in the sales and service of Caterpillar products, including earthmoving, construction and materials handling equipment, along with diesel engines used for electric power generation, on-highway and marine propulsion applications. “We’d like to be recognized as a business partner by our customers,” Mike Thompson relates. “We see great things ahead for Birmingham and all of Alabama,” Lucy added. “We want our customers and the communities we serve to know we are committed to the region’s growth and prosperity.”
