Introduction

The terraced fields have been used for centuries to overcome difficult terrain and harsh growing conditions. They are particularly significant in Asia and are an ingenious way to beautify the landscape. I have always been fascinated by the layers of rice fields, which are built along the slope winding from the riverside up to the mountain top, which turn into the beautiful layers of the mountain. These landscapes have their own pattern , gradation, therefore, I want to study the relevance of terraced rice fields to clothing, and the characteristics and advantages that terraced rice fields offer to nature, applying the ideas to the fashion industry.
