I hope you have enjoyed the slower-paced days of summer. Here at John’s Island, the Club was busy with the installation of six new pickleball courts, a redesigned South Course, renovated and expanded Health & Fitness Center, and a refreshed Jacks and Beach Club. The Club’s 7th Annual Friends Weekend was another success with close to 70 guests in attendance! Friends Weekend has been a terrific way to showcase all that John’s Island has to offer both property-wise and amenities. Our Open House tours always draw a huge crowd and guests are able to see an array of property types. We are pleased to see a slight increase in inventory, which had been thin, giving buyers more choices throughout our various property types including new condominiums, many turn-key and ready for immediate occupancy. Demand for new construction and newly renovated properties remain high, with a few spec homes purchased over the past few months. In August, we showed a record number of sales with 11 properties closed. Summer sales remained strong, reiterating the market’s enthusiasm for new and updated properties as well as those needing updating that are priced right. A number of older homes sold to new buyers who intend to restore and renovate to today’s standards. It goes to show, there is something for everybody here in John’s Island. As Q3 2018 comes to a close, we are delighted to share the success of our online marketing initiatives including a 30% increase in website visitors compared to the same period in 2017.
