Jim Bain

Jim Bain is a founding partner of Benjamin Bain, Howard & Cohen, a boutique Denver law firm focused on commercial real estate and construction law. With decades of experience in complex litigation and construction disputes, he is known for his leadership, legal scholarship, and advocacy. He graduated cum laude from the University of Connecticut and earned his law degree cum laude from the University of Florida. Early in his career, he taught Trial Practice and Appellate Advocacy at the University of Florida and the University of Colorado. Mr. Bain later served as a trial attorney with the Tennessee Valley Authority, where he led damage analysis in the landmark Uranium Antitrust Litigation, contributing to a $250 million recovery. In private practice, he quickly rose to partner and later co-founded his current firm, now recognized as a leading boutique in Denver. He has served as Editor of The Construction Forum for over 20 years and sits on the American Arbitration Association’s National Panel.
