EDUCATION
Starting with the Diploma in Stud Practice and Management in 1986, the Education programme has evolved over the years and now spans the full spectrum – from those with little or no experience with Thoroughbreds, to short courses and learning programmes for those already working at a senior level in the industry. All courses are tailored to provide learners with the industry knowledge and practical training required for a successful career in their chosen field.
The qualifications offered are accredited by the industry’s awarding body 1st4Sport. In addition to residential and short courses, we offer a range of qualifications which can be delivered and assessed in the workplace.

The National Stud E2SE course gave me the basic grounding to succeed in the Thoroughbred breeding industry and helped me get my placement at Cheveley Park Stud where I continue to learn every day. I’ve made many great friends for life and realised a dream. For anyone that is contemplating applying, do it.

The Diploma course was a wonderful experience for me, I learned so much about breeding but also about the horseracing industry.
