Yeshiva Har Torah Welcomes the Honorable Judge Ruchie Freier
T
his past week the 7th and 8th graders at Yeshiva Har Torah had the great pleasure to hear from Judge Freier. Judge Freier who is the first Chasidic woman to serve as a
judge she presides over a civil court in New York’s 5th judicial district. Judge Freier relayed to the students her journey of coming to this prestigious position. She expressed to the students the
importance of education and standing by your ideals in life. She inspired the students with stories of her experience and how people have come to respect her as she upholds her ethics and stan-
dards of her faith. The students were joined by several parents who came to hear from this inspiring Jewish woman and her message of faith and leadership.

he Far Rockaway community is honored to host the Mashgiach of Yeshivas Bais Abraham Slonim. Rabbi Weinberg is the editor the Nesivos Shalom Seforim and the Rebbe zt”l’s son-in-law. Rabbi Weinberg will be in Far Rockaway for Shabbos, Parshas
Emor, and is being hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Aron Kopelowitz. There will be a Shalosh Seudas and shiur held on Shabbos afternoon at 7:30 PM at the Kopelowitz home, 1223 Beach 9th Street in Far Rockaway. A reception to benefit Yeshiva Bais Abraham-Slonim will take place
on Wednesday, May 9 at 8PM at the Kopelowitz home. The Slonim Yeshiva is entering its seventy-sixth year since its founding by the Harav Shalom Noach Berozovsky, the Nesivos Shalom, zt”l. Each year the yeshiva produces a large group of talmidei chachamim who
take on leadership positions in Torah communities throughout Israel and abroad. They combine a strong combination of high level Torah learning and refinement of middos blended with the warmth of chassidus. Come and show your support for this magnificent Torah institution.
