Jeremy Rosenholtz
Jeremy Rosenholtz is an American educator, administrator, and writer with a career spanning more than 3 decades in independent schools across the United States. His work has consistently centered on English education, student development, and college guidance, with a steady progression from classroom teaching to leadership roles. His career reflects reliability, institutional trust, and a long-term commitment to school communities rather than rapid advancement. Raised in Laramie, Wyoming, Jeremy developed an early interest in reading and writing that shaped both his academic path and professional direction. Those formative years encouraged curiosity and discipline, providing a strong foundation for later work with middle- and upper-school students. His teaching approach has remained grounded in clarity, structure, and respect for student growth. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Amherst College in 1991, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and receiving an Amherst College Merit Fellowship for graduate studies. During his undergraduate years, Jeremy also competed in national-level debate, placing 10th among American teams at the World Debate Championships in Scotland in 1990. He later completed a Master of Arts in Teaching in English at Smith College, followed by additional coursework at Teachers College, Columbia University, and participation in the Klingenstein Summer Institute Fellowship at Deerfield Academy. Before entering education full-time, Jeremy Rosenholtz worked as an assistant editor at Penguin Books. He later taught at St. Andrew’s School in Florida and served for many years at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School in New York. From 2015 to 2024, he was Director of College Guidance at Newton Country Day School. He currently lives outside Boston with his family and continues to write, including the publication of his novel Your Biggest Fan in 2024.
