THIS HOARD OF FOUND OBJECTS embodies our
throw-away culture through its most basic elements, the man-made products that permeate our daily lives. I collected these discarded items along streets and sidewalks, in parks and river banks, along beaches and mountain trails. Then I mounted each one onto a concrete base like some 20
cheap plastic trophy or a kitsch souvenir. These colourful remnants of our daily lives are deceptively pretty. In fact, they represent some of the most pernicious aspects of our global culture: mass production, over consumption, pollution and waste.
