Religion-Philosophy Professors Lang and S. Reed (chair) Mission Statement The mission of the Religion-Philosophy Department at University of Jamestown is to promote the significance of Christian faith and thought for all areas of life and to provide students with a sound educational foundation in the fields of religion and philosophy.
A grade of C- or above must be earned in all courses that are required in a major or a minor.
Intended Student Learning Outcomes for the Religion and Philosophy Majors
1. Students will demonstrate their ability to produce clear and cogent writing. 2. Students will demonstrate their knowledge of the contents and messages of the books of the Christian Bible. 3. Students will demonstrate an historical and theoretical foundation in the field of philosophy. 4. Students will explain the key elements of major ethical theories. 5.
