news of alumni 2011-2012 Brad Laney is with Raley & Bowick LLP, and lives in Houston, TX. Ramsey Cruise married Brian Long on April 28, 2012. Ramsey teaches preschool at JA and is the Silver Stepper sponsor. She is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a degree in liberal arts. Brian is an examiner with the National Credit Union Administration. Jonathan Lowery travels around the United States with PUSH, a physical theatre, which is much like Cirque du Soleil. He has also been invited to Europe and Asia with his performances. Carter and Megan Payne Mascagni live in Flora where Megan is a registered nurse on an orthopedic floor at St. Dominic Hospital.Their daughter, Lila James, was born April 17, 2012.

Joseph McCaskill married Jennifer Todd on September 17, 2011. He is a commercial insurance producer with Wellington & Associates. He has a business degree from MSU. Bonnie Shetler McNair has a B.S. in psychology from Belhaven University. She is the administrative assistant to the Visual Art, Theatre, & Graphic Design Office at Belhaven University. Jessica Mizell has a B.A. in communications. She is a writer for Jackson Free Press and owner of a small residential cleaning company. Virginia Morris is a manager in the tax department at Grantham, Poole, Randall, Reitano, Arrington & Cunningham in Ridgeland. She obtained a B.S.B.A. in accounting from MC. Sara Morrow has a B.S. degree from the University of Houston. Sara traveled to Austria, Switzerland, & Germany to see the “Passion Play” in summer 2010. Caroline Murphree married Jason Roberson on December 15, 2012. She has a master’s of accountancy from Ole

Miss. Caroline is a CPA and is a surety bond underwriter for Lexon Surety Group in Nashville. Jason is a pension administrator and is with the Global Retirement Team for Cummins Inc. They live in Nashville.

Amy Hardy married Bryan Nelms on September 29, 2012. Amy graduated from Mississippi College in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is a registered nurse with NewSouth NeuroSpine in Flowood. Bryan is an analyst with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Mississippi. J.T. Nicholas studied Southern Studies at Ole Miss. He is a real estate agent with Pretty Houses of Mississippi. Sloan and Ashley Patton live in Jackson where Sloan is a commercial real estate broker. Ashley Phillips lives in New York City where she is the associate editor at Clarkson Pottery, which is a division at Random House, Inc. Her first book as editor came out in September 2011, Casserole Queens. It was on the New York Times Best Seller list for several weeks. Natalie Walden married Erik Pinter on December 22, 2012. She has a B.A. in religious studies from Millsaps College and a B.A. in interior design. Natalie plans to work in the interior design field with a focus on sacred space to combine her two degrees. Cameron Vaughan married Cameron Pumphrey on May 13, 2012, in Nashville. She is a communications major/Spanish minor from Mississippi College. Cameron is a public relations coordinator and merchandise manager for Tenth Avenue North, a Christian group. She spent last year touring with country music artists such as Edens Edge, Thompson Square, Lady Antebellum, and working with non-profits. Her husband is a tour manager in the Christian music industry. They live in Nashville.

Aaron and Kelly Maxwell Rice live in Madison. She received her degree in Communications/Public Relations and Marketing from MSU. She is now a stayat-home mom to Clark and Griffin.

Katie Woods married Richard Rogers. Katie is an English professor at Hinds Community College/Rankin campus. She has a B.A. and M.A. in English from Mississippi College. Katie has been a volunteer children’s grief counselor at the McClean Fletcher Center for seven years. Alisha Sartin is a graduate of Ole Miss with a degree in art history and a minor in English. She is with Maison Weiss. Meredith Monsour married Greg Schiefer on September 21, 2012. Meredith graduated from Ole Miss in 2006 with a double major in managerial finance and real estate. She is with the Cumberland Consulting Group in Nashville as a healthcare consultant. Greg has a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and is a project manager at W.L. Hailey and Company in Nashville. Ben and Marianna Breazeale Shaw welcomed a son, Benji, in August, 2011. Marianna majored in managerial finance at Ole Miss. Currently she is a math tutor and mom. They live in Hattiesburg, where Ben is the RUF Director at the University of Southern Mississippi.

Kirk Sims is the Chief of Staff for Governor Phil Bryant. He and Caroline live in Jackson. Kirk has a B.A. in English from Ole Miss. Desiree Smith has a degree in graphic design from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is the regional graphic designer for Aramark Higher Education at Southern. Aaron and Chris Johnson Smith live in Starkville with their daughter, Elliana. Chris is now a stay-at-home mom but she previously taught calculus and physics at Starkville Academy. She has a B.S. in mathematics from MSU.
