Millstreet Family Fun Day

The Millstreet Family Fun Day took place on Sunday 22nd May and was a great opportunity for families in the area to come together in Millstreet Town Park. Supported under the LEADER Funded Day of the Regions Initiative, this fun filled day included a real mix of entertainment. The day kicked off with Millstreet Pipeband opening the proceedings. There was face painting by volunteers from the local childcare facility, a clown and balloon artist along with live music on the day by a Blue Grass Band funded by Cork County Council. A special performance was put on by Ukrainian residents of the Green Glens which was lovely to see, and they closed their performance with a heartfelt thank you from all the Ukrainian refugees to the people of Duhallow. The event was a great opportunity for the local community volunteers to come together to organise an event for all those living in the community. Special thanks to Millstreet Town Park for making the park available for such a large community event. Massive thanks to Tom Corbett for this range of wonderful photos.
