Kilcorney Tractor Run Still Has Plenty Horsepower

On April 7th, 2024, the 5th annual Ned Tarrant Memorial Tractor Run took place in Kilcorney.

Despite the unpredictable weather, there was a fantastic turnout with young and old coming together for the big event. Funds were raised for the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. Kilcorney Community and Banteer Macra welcomed charity representatives, Chris Bennett and Tom Looney who was accompanied by his trustworthy canine companion, Jira. Before the big boys and girls set off on their machines, the kiddies led the way in the children’s run from the village down to the social centre. Finally the big machines set off and arrived for a BBQ and music at Healy’s Bar Kilcorney. Music was by The Kelts. As of writing, the amount raised hasn’t been confirmed but well done to everyone involved!
