Congratulations to Catherine O’Connor, Boherbue, and Thomas Carroll, Kiskeam, (both living in Brisbane)! The two married in July at the stunning Catheau de la Valouze, La Roche-Chalais France.
The IRD Duhallow Carers Network enjoying their annual Summer Outing. The group enjoyed visiting Cork City Gaol, Fota House and Garden before spending time shopping in Cork City and ending a great day with a three-course meal in the Angler’s Rest.
In memory of the passing of William “Billy Boy” Cashin, the Kanturk GAA Facebook page shared this photo from March 1974. He was a player, selector, and officer for the GAA group. He can be seen in the photo second from the right in the front row.

A Joy-ous Occasion!

Congratulations to Mr Kieran Joy and Ms Siobhan Curtin who announced their engagement recently. Siobhan and Kieran were joined by close family and friends to celebrate their special occasion. Healy’s Bar, Kilcorney was choca bloc with the family and friends of local man Malachy Regan, who were there to celebrate his 50th birthday party. Malachy was joined by his wife, children, siblings, and work mates for a night of music and dance by Kevin and Tony, Bweeng.

Duhallow Supports Marymount Cheque Presented

A Cheque Presentation to Marymount Hospital & Hospice took place at Kanturk Mart on Tuesday. €17,000 was raised, proceeds from the recent Duhallow Supports Marymount Concert and the auction of a Charalois Bullock for €2,240.Pictured are Joe Noonan, Chairman of Kanturk Mart and Pat Fleming, who coordinated the event presenting the Cheque to Dan Cronin of Marymount Hospice, Colette O’ Connell, Michelle Hallihan, Dan Horan, Tim O’ Connell, John Cott and Seamus O’ Keeffe of Kanturk Mart, Councillor Bernard Moynihan, Margaret Kiely, Eddie Kiely and Eliza Kotecka.
Organisers Pat Fleming and Councillor Bernard Moynihan presented Bouquets to Colette O’ Connell and Michelle Hallihan of Kanturk Mart in recognition of all their work ahead of and during the Duhallow Supports Marymount Concert
Eliza Kotecka, a Scoil Naomh Pádraig pupil, who performed at the Duhallow Supports Marymount Concert sang at the Cheque Presentation event at Kanturk Mart.
