Tatu City

R is Africa’s largest new city builder, with a development portfolio on 30,000 acres of land in the urban growth trajectories of major cities in Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia, and Democratic Republic of Congo.

A typical Rendeavour development is 2,500 acres or larger and is designed as an integrated live-work-play urban environment, free of the infrastructure deficits of neighbouring city centres. Built in phases, Rendeavour developments are long-term projects with 20-year investment horizons. By investing its own capital, Rendeavour catalyses additional domestic and international investment, transforming Africa’s urban future through well-planned developments, economic opportunity and job creation.

Tatu City Special Economic Zone is an entirely new city which, since 2019, has delivered more than 1,000 housing units, with an additional 3,000 units under construction or development. Upon completion, Tatu City will have created 50,000 multi-income housing units.

Currently, residential properties at Tatu City range from USD 36,000 for one-bedroom apartments to USD1 million for villas. Since 2016, Tatu City has welcomed more than 70 light industrial, education, retail and real estate development businesses to the city, representing more than USD1.5 billion of investment. A catalytic development for Kenya and East Africa, Tatu City has become a regional hub for business.

Tatu Central, the CBD of Tatu City, was announced in May 2022 with a 4,600-seat contact centre as the city centre’s anchor tenant. A second office tower and retail will complete the 27,000m, USD32 million investment, which has broken ground and will welcome tenants at the end of 2023.
