Callaway Electric Rebates

Callaway Electric offers rebates on heat pump systems, water heaters, programmable thermostats and EV charging stations. The following includes the eligible items and the necessary requirements to qualify. Contact our member service department for more information.

GROUND SOURCE HEAT PUMP

A rebate for the purchase and installation of qualifying new or replacement high-efficiency ground source heat pump systems is available to residential and commercial Callaway Electric Cooperative members. A 30% tax credit is also now available on all geothermal systems installed between 2022 and 2032.

AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMP

A rebate for the purchase and installation of qualifying new, high-efficiency air source heat pump systems is available to residential and commercial Callaway Electric member and for new construction homes and buildings along with replacement of electric central air or electric resistance heat and replacement of an existing air conditioner or dual-fuel heat pump. Qualifying heat pumps must have an Energy Star Plus 2 rating of 17.2 SEER2 dual-fuel (gas backup) system.

ELECTRIC WATER HEATERS

Receive a rebate for the purchase and installation of a qualifying new, high-efficiency electric water heater that meets/exceeds the Dep. of Energy standards at the time of manufacture. The rebate applies for construction of a new home or new addition, and also replacement of an existing electric water heater and/or a new electric water heater replacing an existing gas water.

Up to a $250 Rebate (applies to 40 gallon or larger electric water heaters)

• $200 Rebate for New Construction Installation

• $250 Rebate for Gas-to-Electric Water Heater Conversion

LEVEL 2 EV CHARGING STATION

Residential and commercial Callaway Electric Cooperative members are eligible for rebates when buying qualifying electric vehicle Level 2 charging stations. Rebates are limited to eligible services (homes, lake homes, shops, barns, commercial buildings, etc.) that purchase more than 6,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity from the cooperative on an annual basis.

$250 RebateRebate is limited to 50% of total cost, up to $250 per charger, limit 2.

ENERGY STAR® ADVANCED THERMOSTAT

A rebate for purchase and installation of qualifying new, ENERGY STAR® listed smart thermostat is available. Residential members who purchase and install up to two qualifying new ENERGY STAR® listed smart thermostats are eligible to apply.

$50 RebateRebate is limited to 50% of the cost of the thermostat.
