Committee on Order of Business Report

The 2020 Committee on Order of Business met after the 2019 Annual Meeting in Marion to evaluate the 2019 Annual Meeting. They met on March 26 and September 24 to make decisions regarding abbreviated 2020 meeting plans, the 2023 meeting location, and to confirm and update information to report for the 2021 and 2022 meetings.

The Committee recommends that:

1. Jeremy Byrd of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, Jacksonville bring the 2021 annual sermon, and that Denver Ayres of Logan Street Baptist Church, Mt. Vernon be the alternate speaker.

2. The 2023 IBSA annual meeting be held at Cornerstone Church in Marion on November 8-9.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the IBSA Board of Directors found it necessary to meet on July 14 and relocate the 2020 IBSA Annual Meeting from the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Springfield on November 4-5 to Tabernacle Baptist Church in Decatur, on November 4 only. In order to fulfill contractual agreements with the Crowne Plaza, the IBSA Board also voted to relocate the November 10-11, 2021 meeting from Broadview Missionary Baptist Church in Broadview to the Crowne Plaza in Springfield. The Committee on Order of Business affirmed these actions at its September 24 meeting, and also reaffirmed that the 2022 IBSA annual meeting will be held at Metro Community Church in Edwardsville
