Novi (privremeni) članovi HOO-a Hrvatski olimpijski odbor odlukom skupštine od 22. prosinca 2015. ima dva člana više - Hrvatski cheerleading savez (HCS) i Hrvatski kendo savez (HKS). Hrvatski cheerleading savez (Croatian Cheerleading Federation) osnovan je 2008. godine kao zajednica udruga cheerleading Hrvatske. U veljači 2015. je registriran kao nacionalni športski savez zadužen za promicanje i razvoj ovih športsko-plesnih aktivnosti u Hrvatskoj. Predsjednica Saveza je Slavica Donkov iz Splita gdje je i sjedište Saveza ( više na www.cheerleading.hr). Hrvatski kendo savez (Croatian Kendo Association) osnovan je 2004. godine s ciljem promicanja i razvoja kenda, japanskog borilačkog športa u Hrvatskoj. Član je Europskog kendo saveza (EKF) i pridruženi član Svjetske kendo federacije (FIK). Ima osam klubova, a sjedište mu je u Zagrebu. Predsjednik Saveza je Marko Lukić iz Zagreba (www. kendo.hr). Novi nacionalni športski savezi primljeni su u statusu privremenih članova na dvije godine, nakon čega će skupština HOO-a odlučivati o njihovom redovnom članstvu. Primanjem dva nova saveza HOO broji 85 nacionalna športska saveza od kojih su 39 olimpijski športovi.

In co-organization of the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (ICMG), the international seminary on gender equality in sports was held in Zagreb from October 9 to 10 2015. The seminary was attended by twenty-odd representatives from Albania, Cyprus, Egypt, Macedonia, Malta, Montenegro, Algeria, Tunisia, Turkey, Monaco and Croatia. By stressing the need of constant solving the problem of gender (in) equality in sports, this seminary emphasized that equality in sports is not exclusively a women’s issue, even though it affects female athletes the most. The conclusions stated that it is necessary to have, latest by 2020, 50 percent women in decision-making positions and to offer equal possibility - in terms of using sports infrastructure, education and employment, financing of competitions and preparations - to both genders in sports. The seminary was participated by five times Olympian Daina Gudzinevičiute, holder of gold Olympic medal in shooting in Sydney in 2000, today the president of the Lithuanian Olympic Committee and member of the Executive Committee of the European Olympic Committees (EOC), quad Paralympic Ana Sršen (member of the Executive Board of the Croatian Paralympic Committee) and Tullio Paratore, President of the Commission for Cooperation and Development of the International Committee for the Mediterranean Games. President of the Gender Equality in Sport Commission and Vice-President of the Croatian Olympic Committee Morana Paliković Grude, President of the Croatian Judo Federation Sanda Čorak, member of the Commission for Women in Sports, writer and sports official Ratko Cvetnić, regular professor at the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Zagreb Branka Matković, instructor of women’s handball of the Croatian Handball Federation and member of the Executive Board of the European Handball Federation (EHF) Lidija Bojić Čačić, Secretary of the Gender Equality in Sport Commission Gordana Borko and Head of the Croatian Olympic Committee’s International cooperation Ljiljana Ujlaki Šubić have also given their contribution to the success of the seminary.

Petra Pocrnić Perica in CAS In December 2015, the International Council of Arbitration for Sport (ICAS) appointed Petra Pocrnić Perica M.Sc. the arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), which represents the first appointment of a Croatian lawyer to the closed international list of arbitrators. The International Council of Arbitration for Sport is an international independent body funded and managed by the CAS and its main task is to take care of independence of the CAS and the rights of the parties. CAS was founded in 1984 as a specialized body for resolving disputes in sport, with one or three decision-making arbitrators selected by the parties from the closed list of arbitrators consisting of experts specializing in arbitration and sports law. The seat of the Court of Arbitration for Sport is in Lausanne, Switzerland.

New (temporary) members of the Croatian Olympic Committee By decision of its Assembly, brought on December 22, 2015, the Croatian Olympic Committee has two more members – the Croatian Cheerleading Federation (HCS) and Croatian Kendo Association (HKS). Croatian Cheerleading Federation was founded in 2008 as an Association of cheerleading communities of Croatia. In February 2015, it was registered as national sports federations responsible for promoting and developing this sports and dance activities in Croatia. President of the Federation is Slavica Donkov from Split, where is also the headquarters of the federation (more at www.cheerleading.hr).
